Besides his professional activities, He believes in “Riding for a cause” and following this belief, he has been to Ladakh , K2K (Kashmir to Kanyakumari), Nepal, Rajasthan, and did the highest altitude mountain pass in the world, the Mana Pass, as a solo ride and explored one of the toughest passes of the world. Ride for orphan kids, save the girl child and educate them are some of the causes.

It was a very nostalgic day for me to come to JEC after eight years and experience the transformation. From the moment I entered the gates of the College, every second spent was reminiscent of my college days, said Rupesh Rai, who is Assistant Manager, Jindal Steel, and an alumni of JEC. Leaving the comfort of my home, my city, my friends and moving to a new city not knowing the obstacles I'd be facing took alot of convincing. I recall walking through the hallway of JEC looking around, not knowing what to expect. The lush green landscaping around the campus not only enhances it beauty and creates a conducive environment for studying but brings about the awareness of an eco-friendly environment along with a sense of home, considering my Bihar roots.
